june 8th - august 9th
This summer, we are celebrating with the theme “A Universe of Stories” to coincide with NASA’s 60 years of achievement and its celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Readers of all ages are welcome to join us as we embark on an out-of-this-world summer of fun!
You can sign up for Summer Reading in person or online at craftonpubliclibrary.beanstack.org. Kids will get a book log folder when they sign up at the library. When they read books, they can keep track of them in their book log or on Beanstack (there's even an app (Apple) (Google) to log books on your phone). After logging even just ONE book, kids will earn an invite to our end of Summer Reading Pool Party at Crafton Pool on August 9th! Participating readers will earn one raffle ticket to put towards a gift card of their choosing for every book read and every program attended throughout the summer! Just stop into the library to claim your tickets and enter into the raffles. Raffle winners will be announced at the Pool Party (need not be present to win).
We are also motivating adults to join in on the fun this summer! We will have special activities just for grown-ups and weekly gift card drawings for anyone over 18 who keeps tracks of the books they are reading or attends a program.
We hope you and your family will join us as we read our way across the universe this summer! Check out some of what we have going on below!
